Nothing Like a Good Read!

Sometimes we come across a recipe, place to visit or even a good book that resonated with us to the very depths of our soul that we HAVE to share it with all.  This by no means that the receiver of this information will have the same reaction.   Those who are sharing this information are in hopes that the person does receive the same joy.   It is with this joy and enthusiasm that I speak of the book I recently read called: The Shack.  In fact, once I read the first couple of pages, I could not put it down until I was finished.

 About Relationship and Unity

As it says in the information I copied from The Dialogues below, I am not here to evangelize but to share in Unity and Relationship.  It is because I have found such joy and union with others who have completed A Course of Love that I call out to you for Relationship.  In this course you will come to know your True Self and discover the “Knowing” that you have always had within you.  I invite you to join us in A Course of Love teleconference joining others who will be reading, learning then knowing together in Unity.  Following is from The Dialogues, the third book you will be reading in this Course:

“This need not overly concern you as it will not affect you as it did those of the past. You are living in the time of Christ, a time when no intermediaries are needed or required. You are not called to become an intermediary trying to bridge the knowing of the separated self and the Self of union. What you are called to do is to share in union with others whose awareness is expanding.

You have been told and told again that you are not alone, and this has been among the biggest hurdles for many of you to overcome because your state of aloneness is all you have known. This perceived state is synonymous with the personal self, with the idea of individuality, with separate thoughts, and with the idea that no one will ever be able to truly know you.

Join with others who are experiencing the expanding awareness of the time of Christ, and you will begin to see the evidence that things are different now. Join with others who are coming to know through the state of unity, and the evidence to the contrary will be overwhelming. You will begin to truly understand that you are not alone and separate, and that even the coming to know of the state of unity is a shared coming to know, a coming to know in relationship.

Just as you were taught that you could not learn on your own, you are now being told by one who knows that you also do not come to the knowing of the state of unity alone. Why then would you think that you could come to full expression of what you have come to know without sharing in relationship? Partial expression, yes. But that partial expression will bear the mark of your perspective, and that is why partial truth is never the whole truth, and why the whole truth is the only truth.

Sharing in relationship is what the state of unity is all about. It is what it is.

We come now to the second part of what we are exploring together here, the idea that what you come to know may literally not be shamble with those who remain in a separate state except through the sharing of who you are and who you know others to be. All this means is that while you may feel unable to share or express all that comes to you from unity, and while you may feel unable to share or express the authority and truth you know it represents, you will, by living according to what you know to be the truth, form the very relationships and union that will allow the truth to be shared. The relationship or union precedes the sharing of what can only be given and received in relationship.

This is why you were told specifically not to evangelize or attempt to convince. These are actions of the separated self attempting to fulfill intermediary functions. Relationship, or union, is what negates the need for such intermediary functions. By being who you are, and seeing others as who they truly are, you create the relationship in which sharing can occur. Without relationship there is no willingness and no union. Without relationship, you behave as a separated self attempting to communicate union from the state of separation. This does not work.

Join with your brother and sister in Christ and sharing becomes effortless and joyful and effective. Cause and effect become one. Means and end the same”.

Art is for EVERYONE !

Up until we are the ages of 7-10, we all believe we are artists.  The only thing that has changed over the years is that some of us start believing what others in judgement tell us about our artistic ability.  Some of us can overcome those judgements along with “You have no future as an Artist” and other sayings along that line.  As a working artist since 1972, I had to work through my own barriers of thinking that I was not good enough.  It has been a long wonderful life as an artist and I have no regrets even though here and there over the years, I still have received judgements about my artistic abilities.  We will not go there because I am here to tell you that along with my cultured ability to create, I also have the ability to bring creativity out in others, even if it has been buried for years.

In my private classes or group classes, you will learn how to graph your canvas and sketch in pencil first the areas to be painted in acrylics.  The time flies by as you loose yourself  in creativity which is comparable to meditation or prayer.  So if you want to find yourself by loosing yourself, call me about a class.  I can work around your schedule and you can choose your subject matter.  Patricia Tate 602-568-7892

NEW DATE FOR A Course of Love

The Teleconference for A Course of Love was to begin on Sunday May 6th and was cancelled due to lack of response.  Four people were supposed to join in the conference and not one sent their regrets until after 2 pm.  Because of this, I am moving the start date to May 20th and perhaps more will sign up for this conference.  By May 20th, you must read the Prelude and the first chapter in the first book of A Course of Love.  On May 20th we will discuss, share and ask questions concerning the material.  We will do this on a weekly basis and be reading one to two chapters per week.  I hope you decide that this course is for you and decide to join us.

I must be “Out of My Mind!”

Believe it or not, our acceptance of the phrase “Out of My Mind” has always been associated with a negative connotation.  This has just been part of a big illusion in which we have allowed our minds and group thinking to control us.   Moreover, if we step out of the parameters that accepted by the masses, we are put in a category of “Out of our minds” or “Losing our minds.”

What if being “Out of our Minds” was a good thing.  Where else can you go if you are not in your mind?  The destination is a  brief  journey and oftentimes miss-understood, yet is only 18 inches away from your mind.  This brief journey is from your mind to your heart!

Just imagine what your life and this world would be like if you created it and looked at it through your heart.  Is it hard for you to imagine a world without judgment replaced by Love?  Now imagine for just a moment if the ego (your mind) takes a back seat to your thoughts.  What would replace with the power of domination and war?  What would we do if we took responsibility for our thoughts and sent out love from our hearts instead of rules and judgments from our mind?

Every time I hear or think of the word “Imagine,” I think of John Lennon’s song
Imagine.  He was try to give us the same message that I am sharing today….Imagine with your heart and with love, then believe and live it to make it real.

It has been scientifically proven that information is first received through your Heartspace a then goes to your mind, what has after that is up to you.

You can live your life with a mind/HeartSpace connection or you can live your life with your mind using a “Heart By-pass.”  What is the difference you ask?  Simply put, the mind has limited capabilities when it is not connected with the heart.  It is not capable of seeing the whole picture with unlimited possibilities because it has to categorize and file to create a belief system.  It must function within this belief system in order to stay alive and have a purpose giving you a pseudo feeling of power.  By living through your mind, you also live in fear and instead of love and certainty from your heart.

As an example, if you do not worship, believe or live a certain way that you have set-up through your mind, circumstances in your life will be in jeopardy such as your health, financial standing, and your love life and so the list goes on according to your beliefs.  You live in fear that if you do not follow these rules and/or guidelines that you have set up for yourself, then you will suffer consequences of a negative nature.  You may even think that you can mask your fears by going on a diet, chanting affirmations, reading self-help books, meditate, and pray on a regular basis…anything that you can do to that will give your mind a sense of security that you are doing something to control the outcome of your life.

Because your mind has convinced you that you can “By-pass” the True information received from your Heartspace that creates a Heart/mind connection, you have even “Feared” researching ways to live from your Heart.  You have bought into the belief that living from your heart is weak and vulnerable.  Some of the ways to tell if you are by-passing the information from your heart is to ask yourself these questions:  Am I in judgment of anything? Do I Blame circumstances and/or people for my present situation? Does my past determine my now and future?  Am I always needing a plan for my future?  Am I always searching for answers and solutions?  Why Me?  You may have even arrived at a point in your life where you are so strong in your accumulated beliefs (made even stronger sometimes because you are part of a large group with the same beliefs), that anyone else who does not believe as you is on the wrong path.  You may be so confirmed in your beliefs that you need to convince others to believe as you because in your mind, “Majority Rules.”  Many people find it more comforting to be a part of a group because of a collective set of beliefs means more power.  Besides, if someone in the group falls away it is easier to blame just one person and you are safe because you have others to back you.

If you have never done it before, standing alone can be scary but only according to your mind.  We may have been told in our lifetime not to trust our heart or you will be taken advantage of and become weak and vulnerable.  These thoughts and more have been fed to us over the years by our minds in order for our minds to keep and maintain our “Living Power.”  What if you By-pass your Mind and look at your Heartspace for your Living Power?

With just a little willingness, you can start to trust the information from your Heartspace.  As you trust this information, you will reclaim your “Living Power” and be able to live your life as an individual, personal self yet you will also be in Union and Relationship with others.  This would not be a specific group with specific beliefs – you would just “Be” with them in relationship and never be alone again.

Now you may be asking at this point; how do I know if my thoughts are from my heart or my mind?”  The thoughts from your mind are all fear based and the thoughts from your heart come from love.  As you practice on a moment-by-moment basis of listening to your heart, you will be better able to distinguish the difference.  You might even want ask yourself before speak or confirm your thoughts, “Am I in judgment and fear with this thought?”  If so, ask yourself for new information on how to think that thought through your heart first.  After a while depending on your participation, it will become easier and you will soon be living from your heart with a Heart-mind connection.  You will have no needs, wants, or desires because you will KNOW that ALL is available by just accepting that it “IS.”

My wish for all is that you choose a “Mind by-pass” instead of a “Heart by-pass” and live a wonderful and peaceful life.

We’ve got some good news to share.

 

One year ago today we released The Story of Cosmetics to build support for national legislation to regulate personal care product ingredients.

 

For years, the multi-billion dollar cosmetics industry had been largely left alone to decide what was safe to put in their products. You know, things like lead in lipstick, neurotoxins in body spray and carcinogens in baby wash.

 

Now, one year later our partners at the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics are making significant progress.

 

One big reason the Campaign is more hopeful than ever about our chances for getting this serious public health threat addressed is the increasing support for reform coming from this country’s community of small personal care product companies.

 

We’ve posted a blog today about the incredible work the Campaign has done to incorporate the concerns of this community-among the best actors in the market already-into the newly introduced Safe Cosmetics Act of 2011.

 

This groundbreaking bill would eliminate the most harmful chemicals from cosmetics (as Europe already does!), and ensure that personal care products are reviewed for safety before they end up on store shelves.

 

If that sounds reasonable to you, why not help us celebrate The Story of Cosmetics’ first birthday by sharing The Story of Cosmetics with your friends and family and then letting your elected officials know that you support the Safe Cosmetics Act.

One day while sitting on a blanket in the grass watching my husband play a casual soccer game, my 11 month old son Jason decided he was going to start walking.  Jason started crawling at 6 months and then standing and holding on to things at 8 months so I was not surprised when he decided on this particular day to start walking.

What was a surprise was the Determination to walk that consumed his entire being.  With nothing to hold on to, he awkwardly placed his feet and legs apart then walked his hands and arms back and raised his body to a standing position.  And as if drunk, he then staggered to the right and then left only to fall down from the momentum.  I did not count the number of times he did this because I was laughing so hard.  However, I did observe this look of determination on his face, which is forever in my memory mind.  He did not hear my laughter or see anything other than his mission at that moment which was to WALK.  His tongue stuck out a bit between his pursed lips.  He even had his eyebrows in a scrunched position that complimented his determination found in his eyes.  He had no fear and he had no doubt.  He was going to walk no matter how many tries it would take.

He walked that day and never looked back.  I am also happy for him, as this same determination with no fear has brought him far in his life.  With this past incident, what can we all learn from this?  How many of us never even try?  How many of us approach change or opportunities,  frozen with fear of failing or the future?  How many of us approach our lives with little or no determination?  What would we accomplish if we looked at our lives with the eyes and heart of a child that has no fear, just determination and perseverance?
