Determination

One day while sitting on a blanket in the grass watching my husband play a casual soccer game, my 11 month old son Jason decided he was going to start walking.  Jason started crawling at 6 months and then standing and holding on to things at 8 months so I was not surprised when he decided on this particular day to start walking.

What was a surprise was the Determination to walk that consumed his entire being.  With nothing to hold on to, he awkwardly placed his feet and legs apart then walked his hands and arms back and raised his body to a standing position.  And as if drunk, he then staggered to the right and then left only to fall down from the momentum.  I did not count the number of times he did this because I was laughing so hard.  However, I did observe this look of determination on his face, which is forever in my memory mind.  He did not hear my laughter or see anything other than his mission at that moment which was to WALK.  His tongue stuck out a bit between his pursed lips.  He even had his eyebrows in a scrunched position that complimented his determination found in his eyes.  He had no fear and he had no doubt.  He was going to walk no matter how many tries it would take.

He walked that day and never looked back.  I am also happy for him, as this same determination with no fear has brought him far in his life.  With this past incident, what can we all learn from this?  How many of us never even try?  How many of us approach change or opportunities,  frozen with fear of failing or the future?  How many of us approach our lives with little or no determination?  What would we accomplish if we looked at our lives with the eyes and heart of a child that has no fear, just determination and perseverance?

What is your Life Expectancy?

Much is being said these days about the subject of “Life Expectancy.”  I Googled that term and received pages and pages of links to articles about life expectancy.  This is just one example below from CNN.

In addition, there are many articles on how to eat or live in order to increase your life expectancy.  This article is different.  It is about Life Expectancy pertaining to “What you EXPECT from your life.”

Have you ever taken a drink of something expecting it to be one thing and to your surprise, it was something else entirely?  Many of us go about very surprised and upset about what we expected from life and what we are really receiving from life.

Have you ever considered the fact that whatever you pour into your “Glass of Life” so shall you receive?  Fill your glass with mistrust, fears, paybacks, misery and loneliness…then guess what you will be drinking?  Yet you will be stating, “That is NOT what I wanted!”  Also, unless you are alone on a deserted island, you are sharing your Glass of Life with others.

If this is not what you wanted, then what do you want.  You may say you want love, friendship, trust, companionship just to name a few.  If that is what you really want to drink and expect in your glass of life, then this is what you need to put in your glass of life to drink.  By drinking this, you are also sharing this with others.  As we give, so shall we receive.

So I ask you again, what is your Life Expectancy and how have you filled your glass of life?

The Law of Attraction in the Thought World

The Universe is governed by Law – one great Law. It is, many things, but viewed from the – Higher Consciousness -there is but one Law. We are familiar with these things, but are almost totally unaware of certain other things. Still we are learning  a little more every day – the veil is being gradually lifted.

We speak of the Law of Gravitation, but ignore that equally wonderful manifestation, The Law OF ATTRACTION IN THE THOUGHT WORLD. We are familiar with  the Law which draws and holds together the atoms of which matter is composed  – we recognize the power of the law that attracts bodies to the earth,that holds the circling planets in their places, but we close or eyes to the mighty law that draws to us are things we desire or fear that makes or puts a damper on our lives.

When we come to see that Thought is a force – a energy – having a magnet – like power of attraction, we will began to understand the why and how of many things that have at on time seemed so dark to us.

When we think we send out vibrations to the universe which are as real as the vibrations of light, heat, electricity and magnetism. Just because these vibrations aren’t there for are five senses is  no proof they do not exist. A powerful magnet will send out vibrations and exert a force enough to attract to itself a piece of steel weighing hundred’s of pounds, but we can neither see ,taste,smell, hear or feel this mighty force.

Thought Vibrations likewise cannot be picked up by the five senses although there are some people that are sensitive to have perceived powerful thought -waves, and very many of us have felt the thought and vibration of others, both while in the presents of the sender or at a distance . We all have metal telepathy and it get stronger the closer we are to someone.

Science  knows there  are many sound waves that no human ear can here, and color waves of light that no eye can see. There is no difference between the most rapid motion or tremblings that produce our sensation and the slowest of those which give us our sensation of warmth.There is a wide gap between them,wide enough to include another world of motion,all lying between our world of sound and our world of heat and light.

We all have heard statements like Thought is Creation, As a Man Thinks so He Is,Thought Are Things and we say these words without  consciously realizing just what the meaning of  the statement is. If we fully understand the truth of the statement and the consequences of the truth back of it, we should understand many things that have appeared dark to us and would be able to use the power of our Thoughts just like we use any other Energy.

As we think we set into motion vibrations of a very high degree, just as real as the vibration of light, heat, sound and electricity,And when we understand the laws of thought vibrations we will be able to use them in our daily life,just as we do the better known forms of energy. Just because we cant see,hear, weigh or measure these vibrations is no reason they don’t exist. There exist sound waves which no human can here although some of these can be hear ed by some animals and insects, and others are caught by scientific instruments of man yet there is a great gap between  the sounds registered by man and the limited knowledge of the boundary line between sound waves and some other forms of vibration. and there are light waves which the eye of man does not see and many more so fine that science has not detected.

Supposing that we had nothing to register magnetism-one might be justified in denying the existence of magnetism because it cant be felt, smelt, heard, seen weighed or measured. And yet the magnet still will send out waves of force enough to draw to it pieces of steel weighing hundreds of pounds.

We are sending out thoughts of greater or less intensity all the time, and we reap the results of our thought negative or positive.Not only do our thoughts influence ourselves and others, but they have a drawing power – they attract to us the thought of others,things, circumstances,people, miracles in accord with or thoughts uppermost in our minds. Thoughts of Love and Forgiveness will attract to us the Love and Forgiveness of others,circumstances and surroundings in accord with thought: people who are in like thought.Thoughts of Anger, Hate, Envy,Malice, Greed and Jealousy will draw to us the  negative thoughts coming from minds of others; circumstances in which we will be called upon to manifest  in harmony and so on. A strong thought or a thought long continued ,will make us the center of attraction for corresp0nding thought waves of other.Like attracts like in the Thought World – as you sow so shall you reap. Birds of a feather flock together in the Thought World

The man or woman who is heart is filled with Love and Forgiveness sees Love in everything and attracts only Love and Forgiveness. The man with hate  and unforgiving in his heart gets all the Hate he can stand. The man who thinks Fight generally gets all the fight he wants.And so it goes, each gets what he calls for  by the thoughts of his  mind The man that gets up grumpy” usually manages to have everyone in his life in the same mood before breakfast is over. The nagging person generally finds enough to complain about to gratify themselves during the day.

The matter of  Thought Attraction is a serious one.When you stop to think about it you will see a man really makes his own world although he blames others for it.People who understand this law hold a positive thought ,inner calm and peace a knowing within all is Love and  can be unaffected by negative thought and disharmony  around them. They no longer allow Life’s Dramas to bother them. They are not at the mercy of world Thought after he has learned the workings of the Law.

I will endeavor to make plain to you in the next articles that are to follow The Power of Using Your Thoughts to reach your true selves just like you use gas ,electricity and other forms of energy.
